I designed tabloid magazines and sports pages for the Detroit News, sports pages for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and event pages for Gannett News Service. My design philosophy: create clean, structured designs that support and highlight the information rather than overwhelm it. Headline and subhead hierarchy and a compelling action photo or graphic to anchor the page is just as important.
